Best Mexican restaurant in MJ! Disclaimer: This is NOT the CDM in the little shopping complex by the Dunkin Donuts/Little Caesar's. That is the one in Old Hickory. This is the CDM north off of 70 behind the new Speedway gas station further into MJ. If you want great food, great drinks, and a good place to hang out, this is it. We have been many times and haven't had a bad experience yet. The salsa is always on point and usually quite spicy (which we like). The cheese dip is ok, and usually we end up pouring some of it onto our dishes. Servers are nice, however, when it gets busy, they can get a little stretched thin, but if you have another margarita, you'll never notice. Great place, and they will get our business again and again if they continue their current operations. (Bathrooms could use a little work though.)

I've been going there for years. The food is good and service is good, but if there is a problem with your order or your bill they will not fix the problem, they will not correct the price. We had a coupon with no expiration date and they would not honor the price, and it was or this specific location, said it was out of date, but thereally was no date. They have went way up on there prices and they think they don't have to honor coupons. I prefer Les Compares on Hwy. 70

Good food fast and I like that. There are a number of similar restaurants in Mount Juliet and they are all about the same.

Cinco is a typical strip mall Mexican restaurant. I ordered a combination platter with a taco and chili relleno. The food was acceptable, but likely not worth returning unless you live super close . The service and building were both fine.

Our favorite Mexican place to eat in middle Tennessee. When we moved here from out west we were continuously disappointed with local mexican restaurants. Then we found this place. We so the 30 min drive (passing four other Mexican restaurants on the way) just to come here!!! Great service, friendly staff, fun birthday traditions, ands awesome food. We love bragging on this place.

Ordered supreme burrito. Wow very delicious and great service! Very nice place to relax, away from highway! Very deaf friendly, have patience with deaf customers who made orders on a piece of paper.

Weird how no one has reviewed Cinco de Mayo yet! As I stated in my review for the Hermitage location, the Cinco de Mayo in Mt. Juliet is usually a bit busier, but I love the decor and vibe inside more. It just seems... friendlier? You might be able to find some better Mexican restaurant in Nashville, but if you're in the Mt. Juliet area, this is where you need to go.

This is the one! This is the true local place to be outside of Nashville near the lake. Great Mexican food. Drink specials every night. Sunday night being the best for beer. This place = great time with friends!

Nothing to rave about on the food side, at least for me. Apparently something is pretty darn good because the parking lot always has cars. The service is solid and the staff is friendly.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
